JOB SUMMARY:
The APP Team Lead will oversee day to day operations of Advancedpractice provider staff. Establish quality standards and continually ensurenursing and APP staff meet or exceed these standards. Provide safe andeffective evidence-based patient care.

EDUCATION:
Master's Degree required from accredited Nurse Practitioner or PhysicianAssistant Program

EXPERIENCE:
3 years of experience in medicaloffice, Required
3 years of experience in management of APP staff, Preferred

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
REQUIRED
BLS (CPR) | AHA Health Care Provider BLS
Current PA or NP licensure in the State of NC
DEA License

ESSENTIAL JOBFUNCTIONS:
General and technicalsupervision of APP staff (NP and PA) in accordance with overall practice,specific departmental, governmental, and other regulatory standards.
Evaluating thedepartment nursing personnel performance in accordance with establishedclinical and administrative policies and procedures. Physician andadministrative input should be obtained during this process.
Works in tandem withpractice manager, medical director, management team and departmental employeesto establish departmental goals and objectives.
Participates in thedevelopment of policies and procedures relating to the provision of nursing andlaboratory services and allergy immunotherapy injections. Works with LabCorpcontact (RN) with LabCorp issues and communications.
Serves as point ofcontact for Medicat EHR questions and concerns. Develops and edits templates.Consults Medical Director for EHR modifications related to clinical workflow.
Participates in theassessment of departmental nursing staff needs. Works with Practice Manager forhiring. Assists in the selection and training / orientation of departmentalnursing staff. Assigns duties and trains nursing staff. Maintains nursing staffschedule. Gives guidance and counsel.
Manages process forreceipt and communication of lab test results, working with other providers andnursing staff to ensure results are received and necessary patient follow-upsoccur.
Uses a knowledge base toassess, plan and provide a comprehensive plan of care that proactively manageshealthcare issues and addresses barriers along the care continuum for patientsin the office setting. Provides medical care within the scope of thepractitioner's training and consults with supervising physician when necessaryand appropriate.
Maintains thorough andtimely documentation of services rendered in the patient's chart.
Maintains professionalskills through the appropriate continuing education and actively participatesin formal quality assurance programs of the organization.
