-Call: None. JOB SUMMARY
Oversees global operations of the Anesthesia Service Line across Cone Health campuses. Provides integral link, facilitating communication between CRNAs, Anesthesiologists, and Administrative leadership. Manages staffing and evaluation of the work performance of all nurse anesthetists. Assists in the implementation, enforcement and governance of departmental policies, procedures, and standard work. CRNA leader will also maintain their NC license and continue practicing clinically.EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Graduate of an approved School of Nursing with a current Registered Nurses' license and graduate of approved School of Nurse Anesthesia.EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
5 or More Years, Healthcare - Nurse: Anesthetist (CRNA), Experience Required
Leadership experience preferredLICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/LISTING
RN | Registered Nurse licensed in North Carolina or a Compact state.
CRNA | Certified RNA
ACLS | Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
Current/active license to practice nursing in the State of North Carolina. Certification/Recertification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist by the council on Certification and Recertification every two (2) years with a minimum of forty (40) continuing education credits.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Assist administrative leadership and campus CRNA Directors with planning and organization of the facilities, equipment, supplies and personnel in the Anesthesia department in such a manner as to provide efficient and effective services.
Supervises campus directors and globally oversees operations of each anesthesia department. Functions as a staff CRNA on a PRN basis.
Evaluates the performance of personnel in the department, in conjunction with the site Directors and Assistant Directors of Anesthesia.
Recommends actions regarding hiring, discharge, and discipline of personnel in the department and receives appropriate input from site Leadership and the department director. Involved in peer review and medical management issues.
Oversees day to day management issues.
Assists with quality improvement functions and projects. Attends various designated and associated committee meetings to assure the coordination of efforts.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES•
Ability to problem solve, develop programs and coordinate work of others.
• Experience with budget, financial management and staffing methodologies.
• Demonstrates clinical knowledge appropriate to age groups.
• Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills.
