JOB DETAILS:
Exempt: No | FTE: 0.7 (28 hours/week) | Schedule: 8 hour days | On Call: No
JOB SUMMARY:
Provides assistive patient care in the Operating Room under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse. This position serves the following patient age categories: neonatal, pediatrics, adolescent, adult and geriatric. Level III is an advanced practitioner who has met all of Level II criteria, demonstrates strong leadership abilities, and is involved in staff education and committee's; acting as a liaison between all members of the multi-disciplinary team. Considered a campus resource (constantly seeks out opportunity for improvementservice specific).
EDUCATION:
Required:
High School diploma or equivalent, plus
Graduate of a School of Surgical Technology or equivalent military
training with surgical technologist experience.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 1 year in Surgical Technology field, Required
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
Required;
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
CST Certified Surgical Technologist. Certifications should come from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.
