The Director Properties Maintenance will be responsible for providing leadership and oversight of the facilities maintenance program for a portfolio of owned and leased spaces. This position will be responsible for identifying facility infrastructure renewal/replacement needs and will execute and oversee facility infrastructure projects. This position will be responsible for negotiating and establishing building maintenance service contracts. This director position will ensure all properties are continuously in compliance with all applicable regulatory agency requirements and standards, as well as implement consistent standards of building maintenance and operations. The Director will be accountable for ensuring equipment and systems are well maintained and function with high levels of performance and reliability. Additionally, this position will be responsible for developing and managing department operating budgets, planning and developing organizational structures, hiring subordinate staff, and working with Property Managers and other stakeholders.EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management or other relevant disciplineEXPERIENCE:
Eight years of experience as a Facilities Manager, Chief Engineer or equivalent, including managing teams, budget responsibilities, supplier management, problem solving, and client/ customer relations
Experience managing remote teams
