Delivers exceptional treatment planning and radiation safety services to the Radiation Oncologist, Physicist and technical staff utilizing best practices, nationally recognized standards, and regulations in a manner that ensures the highest level of safety, quality patient care, and regulatory compliance.EDUCATION:
Required - Graduate of a Radiation Therapy Technology Program OR Graduate of a Certified Medical Dosimetrist Program Preferred - Bachelor's in related fieldEXPERIENCE:
Relevant experience preferred. 5 years working as an independently functioning medical dosimetrist preferred.LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
Drivers License | Valid Drivers License
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
Successful completion of the Medical Dosimetry Certification Board (MDCB) exam within 3 years of hire, resulting in certification as a Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD). The CMD certification must be maintained while employed.
In addition to the CMD, Dosimetrists are encouraged to maintain certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) as a Radiation Therapist, but it is not required.
