JOB DETAILS:
Exempt: Yes | FTE: 1.0 (40 hours/week) | Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM | On Call: Yes

JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction of Enterprise Analytic Data and Application Development leadership, the ETL Developer - Senior will be responsible for the design, development and support of ETL (Extraction, Transformation and Loading) components, which will be used to move large amounts of data from source systems and software application data stores into optimized operational data warehouses and operational data stores supporting the Enterprise Data Warehouse and Data Repository environment(s). Additional responsibilities include performance tuning ETL processes, creating technical and system specification documents necessary to support ETL processes and participating in development and executing unit and integrated test plans. This person will work directly with stakeholders and team members to define, design and deliver actionable insights while working with data architects and C&BI developers in an agile environment. This work will be performed in accordance with enterprise standards, industry best practices, and with the expectation of fully meeting customer requirements.
Successful performance of this role is demonstrated by the timely completion of all assigned project goals, which contribute to the overall provision of quality, efficient, and effective analytic solutions. These solutions will support the data-driven decision making efforts required for delivering excellent, cost-controlled patient care across the continuum. In addition, this position promotes high standards in regards to effective departmental service and customer service.
What this role is not: Data Architecture, Database Administration or Database Analyst.

EDUCATION:

Required:
Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree with 6 years of experience in relevant technologies.

Preferred:
Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Mathematics

EXPERIENCE:
Required:
6+ years of experience in ETL, SSIS, data warehousing, business intelligence and/or analytic platforms
2+ years of healthcare data experience
Demonstrated intimate knowledge or experience with one or more of the following tools: Visual Studio, MS SQL Server Data Tools, SQL Server Management Studio, Team Foundation Server, Erwin, SSAS, SSIS, Mirth, or Cloverleaf.
Demonstrated knowledge of and/or experience with ETL scripting, relational and multi-dimensional data warehousing.
Knowledge and/or experience with one or more of the following languages: T-SQL, PL-SQL, C#, Python, R, JavaScript, or VB.NET.
Knowledge and/or experience with one or more of the following alternative software packages: Oracle Warehouse Builder, SAS, Pentaho, Informatica, or Talend Open Studio.
Strong background in Application Lifecycle Management techniques for estimating work effort, implementing development backlogs and the creation of development sprints.

Preferred:
2+ years of healthcare information systems experience.
Experience using Team Foundation Server as an Application Lifecycle Management tool.
Experience working in a key contributor role on a small to mid-sized development team.
Experience using the Mirth Connect interface engine in a health care environment.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
Required:
Valid driver's license - If driving Cone Health vehicle, must have 5 years of driving experience and MVR must be approved by Risk Management.

Preferred:
Epic Clarity Certification
Microsoft Database Development Certification
Microsoft MCSM/MCSE Certification
