Exempt: No | FTE: 1.0 (40 hours/week) | Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, 4 days/week | On Call: NoJOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for providing direct patient care in the Electrophysiology Lab, Cath Lab, and Cath Lab Holding room as a fully functioning member of the multidisciplinary team. In addition, personnel are expected to function and provide high-quality, safe, culturally competent, cost-effective patient care in all areas of operations, through assessment, planning, evaluation, and intervention/follow up.EDUCATION:
Graduate from one or more of the following programs required: Radiology Technology, Respiratory Therapy, Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist, sanctioned Cardiovascular Technology Program, an Allied Health Degree or relevant Life/Health Sciences Degree.
A High School diploma may be considered with a minimum of four years of full-time experience as an Electrophysiology Specialist with a current RCES or RCIS certification.
Allied Health Degree or currently pursuing an Allied Health Degree or a Life/Health Sciences Degree or pursuing a relevant Life/Health Science Degree.
Allied Health or Life/Health Science Degree must complete baccalaureate degree within 4 years of hire or position will be terminated.EXPERIENCE:
1-2 years of Radiology Technical Experience or
1-2 years of Respiratory Therapy Experience or
1-2 Relevant Electrophysiology Technician Experience
1-2 years of Cath Lab Technical Experience
2 years of Radiology Technical Experience
2 years of Respiratory Therapy Experience
2 years Electrophysiology Technician Experience.
1 year of Cath Lab Technical Experience.LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
Drivers License | Valid Drivers License
Current RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or Current RCES 9Registered Electrophysiologist Specialist) if not obtain within 24 months of hire in the Electrophysiology Lab (is required for continued employment).
Graduates of a qualified Cardiovascular program are required to complete RCIS/RCES certification within 3 months of hire.
Current RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or Current RCES (Registered Electrophysiologist Specialist) if not obtain within 24 months of hire in the Electrophysiology Lab (is required for continued employment).
Graduates of a qualified Cardiovascular program are required to complete RCIS/RCES certification
