Job Description

LOCATION: Triad NeuroHospitalist
CITY: Greensboro
FTE: 0.001 (PRN)

Toprovide safe and effective evidence-based patient care.
Master'sDegree required from accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician AssistantProgram
Preferred:1 year clinical experience specific to practice as a NP or PA preferred

BLS (CPR) | AHA Health Care Provider BLS
Current PA or NP licensure in the State of NC
DEA License
Performsdaily rounds on patients admitted into the department's service. Consistentlyperforms daily rounds in sucha manner that meets or exceeds patient care needs and physician satisfaction.

Respondsto critical or emergency care alerts within the hospital units. Consistentlyresponds to emergent and critical alerts. Is responsive to supervisingphysician directives and orders, allowing for least amount of disruption todaily rounds.

Ensurescontinuity of care for patients, maintaining communication with the attendingphysician. Manages requests and notifications by pager and by phone, includingnecessary new orders for medications and other patient needs. Consistentlycoordinates patient care and manages communications in such a manner that meetsor exceeds patient care needs and physician satisfaction.

Providesassessment of patients and coordinates their care with the attending andreferring physicians. Consistently performs complete and accurate patientassessments that require little to no physician rework. Consistently assessespatients in such a manner that meets or exceeds patient care needs andphysician satisfaction.

Reviews lab results, x-rays, and other test results with physicians, andorganizes information for rounds. Consistently performs complete and accuratereview of patient results. Consistently reviews and communicates results insuch a manner that meets or exceeds patient care needs and physiciansatisfaction. Uses all electronic and computerized resources to provide timelyand accurate patient care.

Under the guidelines of state and federal licensing, and according to hospitalpolicies, performs patient procedures as ordered by the physicians.Consistently performs patient procedures with skill in such a manner that meetsor exceeds patient care needs and physician satisfaction.

Servesas a point of contact for inpatient activities for nursing staff and physiciansregarding admissions and discharges. Consistently coordinates admissions anddischarges and manages communications in such a manner that meets or exceedspatient care needs and physician satisfaction. Actions have a positive impacton patient LOS.

Participatesin cross coverage sign outs with physicians when appropriate. Consistentlycoordinates and communicates between shifts in such a manner that meets orexceeds patient care needs and physician satisfaction.

Assistin reviewing and collecting data for use in quality improvement and formonitoring outcomes. Consistently provides support in review and collection ofdata. Responds to requests for data as needed.
