Offer safe and effective massage therapy to meet the needs of patients or employees. Perform massage that relates to the needs of the referred patients or employees and meets the standards of the profession. Develop a successful working relationship with all Rehabilitation, Wellness Department, and LifeStyle Center services personnel to promote a unified objective of reaching individual health and wellness goals.EDUCATION:
Required: Successful completion of a course of study in the field of massage and bodywork therapy consisting of a minimum of 500 in-class hours of supervised instruction at a Board-approved school or an exempted North Carolina Community College program which has attested to the board their massage therapy program meets or exceeds the minimum requirements.EXPERIENCE:
Required: At least one (1) year of experience working in a corporate, multi-purposed, commercial or hospital-based facility is preferred.LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
Drivers License | Valid Drivers License
BLS (CPR) | AHA Health Care Provider BLS
Required: Licensure as a LMBT and Proof of passing the Massage and BodyWork Licensing Examination (MBLEx).
Along with licensure to practice, passing of one of the following can also be accepted:
MBLEx, National Certification Examination for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCETMB), or National Certification Examination for Therapeutic Massage (NCETM).
If driving Cone Health vehicle, must have 5 years of driving experience and MVR must be approved by Risk Management.
