Provides basic patient care according to the skills and competency guidelines set by the N.C. Division of Facility Services and the North Carolina Board of Nursing, Nurse Aide Central Registry. Provides patient care under the supervision of the Nurse, reporting observations, and documenting within the scope of practice into the EMR. May have access to non-controlled medication storage areas on the patient care areas if and only when their job responsibilities require that access, such as transferring non-controlled substance medications from one storage location site to another or when helping other licensed healthcare professionals retrieve non-controlled substance medications. Nurse Tech Academy Summary
This opportunity is called the Nurse Tech Academy and it is a 30 day program that runs Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm (4 weeks total). To qualify for the program, you need to have less than 2 years CNA experience and/or no Hospital experience. The program consists of classroom training with live situations, presentations, handouts and homework. Once you complete the 30 day program you will be fully equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to work as a successful Nurse Tech in the hospital setting. If you are chosen to attend the program, you are given an offer to work as a full time employee with Cone Health and assigned a unit to work on immediately following the 4 weeks.

Currently listed, in good standing, as Nurse Aide I with the North Carolina, Division of Facilities Services.NURSE TECH ACADEMY REQUIREMENTS:
Licensed Nurse Tech with less than 1 to 2 years of Nurse Tech experience, OR
A licensed Nurse Tech with NO hospital/acute care experience, AND
Looking for part-time or full-time, AND
Openness to any unit/specialty.
Ability to commit to a 4 week program Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm starting the week of 4/6/20
