Job Description

LOCATION: MosesCone Hospital, MHC - Respiratory Care
CITY: Greensboro
Exempt: No | FTE: 0.9 (36 hours/week) | Schedule: Days | On Call: NO

JOB SUMMARY: This positionis responsible for providing quality Respiratory Care for patients, includingneonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics. Employees may berequired to cover shifts at any of the Cone Health acute care hospitals.Employees will have access to pharmaceuticals on all campuses.

EDUCATION: Associates in RespiratoryTherapy - Educational requirements must be confirmed for all Respiratory CarePractitioners.
Experience working in anacute care setting or completed acute care clinical rotations required.
Moses Cone, Wesley Long,High Point MedCenter, and Annie Penn Employees:
Experience in managingcritical care patients preferred.
Alamance Regional MedicalEmployees:
Special care nurseryexperience preferred.
6 months of critical careexperience preferred.
All Women's HospitalEmployees
New hires or transfers toWomen's Hospital must have at least 2 years of critical care experience.
BLS (CPR) | AHA Health CareProvider BLS
Drivers License | ValidDrivers License
Respiratory Therapists(practitioners) must have a national and a state credential.
National Credentials: Mustbe registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a RRT.
NC State Credentials: Mustbe licensed by the North Carolina Respiratory Care Board (NCRCB) as a CRT or aRRT.
All Women's HospitalEmployees (Additional Requirements):
New employees are requiredto obtain Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist (NPS) credential from the NBRC withinone year of hire date or transfer date.
Moses Cone, Wesley Long,High Point MedCenter, Alamance Regional Medical Center, Annie Penn Employees:
ACLS certificationrequired upon hire and must remain current. PALS certification required withinthe first three weeks of employment from date of hire and prior to anypediatric patient care.
Women's Hospital employeesmust have ACLS upon hire and must remain current. In addition, new hires arerequired to complete the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 6 monthsof hire date or transfer date.
All Alamance RegionalMedical Employees
(Additional Requirements):

NRP is required within 6months of hire date or transfer date.
