Assesses, plans, implements, documents, organizes, prioritize, delegates,supervises and coordinates the care of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult,geriatric patients as prescribed within the parameters of the NC Nurse PracticeAct. EDUCATION:
Graduation from a BSN, ADN or Nursing Diploma program. Consideration may begiven to RN's holding a certificate from approved foreign nursing programs. Allregistered nurses without a BSN or higher will be required to enroll in a BSNprogram within one year of their hire date with completion of the programoccurring within four years of hire. EXPERIENCE:
Required: New RNGraduates: Acceptance into Cone Health New Graduate program or completionof an acute care new graduate program.
Preferred: ExperiencedRN: One year of Acute Care RN experience is preferred. Hiring leader mayconsider other RN experience at their discretion. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
RN | Registered Nurse licensed in North Carolina or a Compactstate.
BLS (CPR) | AHA Health Care Provider BLS
The following certifications are preferred and may be requiredwithin a certain timeframe of hire as defined by the specific nursing unit.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN)
Safe Training and Responsible Restraints (STARR)
For elink RN's only: CCRN certification preferred uponhire or required within 12 months of hire date.
