To provide safe and effective evidence-based patient care.
This role is predominantly outpatient (Pre-op, Post-op, acute visits, etc.)
Position will involve an inpatient component (rounding on Urology consults and post-op patients, ~1 hour/day in the morning) EDUCATION:
Must graduate as a Physician Assistant from an accredited program EXPERIENCE:
PAs with urology experience preferred. New graduates will be considered. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
BLS (CPR) | AHA Health Care Provider BLS
Current PA licensure in the State of NC
DEA LicenseESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Communicates professionally, compassionately and effectively with patients, co-workers and referring physicians.
Provides appropriate patient assessment and establishes evidence-based plan of care with physician input when deemed to be appropriate.
Provides patient education, discusses ongoing care, medications, resources for self-education, and when and how to contact the practice for emergent care.
Responds quickly and professionally to emergent care demands, family concerns and nursing questions.
Reviews, interprets and integrates patient data.
Uses all electronic and computerized resources to provide timely and accurate patient care. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
