The Quality Project Consultant (QPC) works within the Greensboro Area Health Education Center (AHEC) - Center for Quality Improvement to consult in primary care physician practices assisting with quality improvement projects including, but not limited to: implementation of certified Electronic Health Records (EHR), Meaningful Use, Patient-Centered Medical Home, and quality improvement efforts related to specific disease states. Through on-site consultation, the QPC will teach practices how to improve patient care through practice redesign, clinical improvement projects, and the pursuit of recognition programs.EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in public health, health administration, nursing, business or other applicable area.EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of two years related experience in quality improvement/program management. Minimum of three years of experience in healthcare with demonstrated knowledge of ambulatory clinic operations and community health required. At least one year experience in ambulatory care settings.
Project management experience strongly preferred. Significant project management experience in areas other than quality improvement may be considered.LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
Drivers License | Valid Drivers License
Clinical licensure preferred. Certification in Patient-Centered Medical Home and/or Quality Management strongly desired.
