This position is responsible to maintain regulatory and professional standards and exhibit strong decision-making capabilities. A close working relationship with Radiology leadership, radiologists, and the medical staff is required to maintain a cost-effective and patient-focused service. This position is responsible to provide care for patients undergoing CT procedures using the approved workflows and procedural protocols. Technologists in this position are able to demonstrate full knowledge of CT equipment. Radiologic Technologists are authorized to handle and administer contrast media in accordance with radiology processes and procedures. Competencies are completed through the Radiology department.EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or equivalent, Required
Graduate of a Radiology, Imaging or related educational program.EXPERIENCE:
0-1 year, Healthcare - CT Technologist, Required
1-2 years, Healthcare - CT Technologist, Preferred
Hospital experience performing a variety of exams- preferredLICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
BLS (CPR) | AHA Health Care Provider BLS
Will accept any of the licenses below:
RT (R) (CT) ARRT
RT (N) (CT) ARRT
CNMT (NMTB) AND RT (CT) ARRT
Must have one of the above credentials and maintain at all times.
