LOCATION : Northwood Building, SW-Human Resources
CITY : Greensboro

JOB DETAILS :
Exempt: Yes | FTE: 1.000000 (40 hours/week) | Schedule: 8-5 | On Call: NO

JOB SUMMARY :
Implement, administer and assist in the development of compensation programs, which includes job analysis/evaluation and salary administration. Provide customer service for client areas and advise and consult with leadership of those areas.

EDUCATION :
Required: Bachelor's degree in related discipline
Preferred: Human Resources degree

EXPERIENCE :
Required: Six years related experience and/or training in a compensation role
Preferred: Extensive experience in job analysis/evaluation and compensation program and design.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Analyze and ensure effectiveness of all compensation programs. Assist in the development of appropriate models to facilitate design of pay structure/levels and annual incentive pay programs.
Perform job analysis and evaluate positions using established evaluation systems, making recommendations to leadership. Create and/or revise job descriptions. Conduct FLSA reviews/audits.
Serve as advisor and consultant for leadership regarding interpretation of compensation policies and practices.
Administer all compensation programs. Prepare proposals and implement various new programs and systems. Ensure compliance to all federal and state regulations.
Manage and utilize all published surveys. Conduct and participate in compensation surveys, establishing appropriate market. Evaluate market data to ensure external alignment. Analyze market trends, making recommendations in regard to market position. Provide budget recommendations to Finance and senior leaders.

Collaborate with management and assist all human resources department with compensation decisions and ensure optimal utilization of all salary information. Serve as technical resource for other compensation staff.

Resolve compensation issues and ensure optimal level of customer services to both internal and external customers.

Plan, implement and conduct training for leadership as related to FLSA, job analysis/evaluation and writing job descriptions.

Administer bonus plans including Cone Share, Short Term Incentive and Long Term Incentive, coordinating payment details with Payroll.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
REQUIRED:
Knowledge of compensation-related regulations, such as FLSA
Knowledge of compensation best practices

Strong proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word and Excel

Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision making capabilities

Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING-PREFERRED :
Preferred: PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP or CCP
