JOB SUMMARY :
The NP/PA is responsible for providing direct care to clients for the purposeof health promotion and disease management; case management to facilitatepositive outcomes for employees/clients impacted by illness; programdevelopment and management related to the health needs of the organization;health expertise in collaboration with other members of the health and safetyinfrastructure to provide consultation as needed by members of theorganization; communication and training to effectively educate clients aboutdisease risk and their role in reducing risk of illness; appropriateadministrative functions; and employee education, medical surveillanceprograms, and wellness programs.

Additional Information
Required: The Nurse Practitioner (NP) has completed a nursepractitioner program, is certified by a national credentialing body, andutilizes a full range of clinical skills in accordance with rules andregulations of the Expanded Nursing Practice Act and under the auspices of theBoard of Nursing.
The Physician Assistant (PA) has completed an educational program for physicianassistants, has completed the Physician Assistant National CertifyingExamination, and utilizes a full range of clinical skills in accordance withrules and regulations of the North Carolina Medical Board and the supervisingphysician.

Years of Experience
Required: A minimum of two years experience in an Occupational Health, ER,Wellness, or Primary Care setting; preference for a minimum of one yearoccupational health experience. Demonstrated experience in the clinicalmanagement of clients in the ambulatory care setting.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING-REQUIRED
Required: NC License asRegistered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner Certification required or current NCMedical Board licensure for Physician Assistant.

Documents assessments, treatments, outcomes, work and disability status, andscreenings in a thorough manner. Maintains clear and concise records forindividual and corporate clients to meet the requirements of the department,the company and any applicable standards or laws.

Exercises an ability to assess and anticipate health risks throughout thecompany by analyzing data to determine health issues and employee groups atrisk

Provides pre-employment physical exams, medical surveillance exams, andevaluation and treatment of health problems for clients

Utilizes principles of case management to achieve best outcomes for clients ina cost effective manner and acts as a liaison between the client and providersto whom he/she is referred.

Additional informationon Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Required:
• Current knowledge of practice to include governmental regulations, communityhealth principles, health promotion, injury/illness prevention, and basicknowledge of related fields i.e. ergonomics, toxicology, and epidemiology.
• Ability to plan, organize, work independently.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Current CPR certification required, ACLS preferred.

Neonate ( Pediatric (1 month to Adolescent (13 years to Adult (18 years to Geriatric (66 + years)
