LOCATION: LeBauer Pulmonary/Critical Care - Moses Cone Hospital & Wesley Long - ICU
CITY: Greensboro

JOB DETAILS:
Exempt: Yes
FTE: 1.0 (40 hours/week)
Schedule: Rotating - Alternating weekdays, weekend days, and weekend nights; Shifts are 10 hours and 12 hours (mostly 12-hour shifts) grouped together.

JOB SUMMARY:
Exceptional opportunity for an Acute Care NP or Physician Assistant to work with LeBauer Pulmonary & Critical Care team in Greensboro, NC. LeBauer PCCM is seeking new team members to join a well-established group of advanced practice providers and physicians. Provider responsibilities include coverage of the medical, surgical, cardiac & neuro / trauma ICU's on a rotational basis. Additionally, the practice covers an inpatient pulmonary consulting service. The Advanced Practice Provider works in collaboration with physician team members to provide safe and effective evidence-based patient care in the ICU setting.

EDUCATION:
Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant degree required.
NP must be certified as ACNP or AGACNP.

EXPERIENCE:
1 year of practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant preferred.
ICU experience (in any capacity, including as an RN) STRONGLY preferred.
Procedural skills preferred but not required.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
REQUIRED
BLS (CPR) | AHA Health Care Provider BLS
ACLS
Current PA or NP licensure in the State of NC
DEA License

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Communicates professionally, compassionately and effectively with patients, co-workers and referring physicians.

Provides appropriate patient assessment and establishes evidence-based plan of care with physician input when deemed to be appropriate.

Provides patient education, discusses ongoing care, medications, resources for self-education, and when and how to contact the practice for emergent care.

Responds quickly and professionally to emergent care demands, family concerns and nursing questions.

Reviews, interprets and integrates patient data.

Uses all electronic and computerized resources to provide timely and accurate patient care.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
