Position: Child-Adolescent Psychiatrist
Physician shall work a full-time schedule in an outpatient-based, clinical setting. Responsibilities: Manage psychiatry care for child-adolescent patients and medical management for those patients. Provide excellent patient care, assist with program development, and work within collaborative treatment team, including the individual patient, nursing staff, advanced practice providers (APP), social workers, and other physicians. Primary site(s) of Services:
Alamance Regional Medical Center/Alamance Regional Psychiatry Associates (ARPA) Burlington, North Carolina; and call site at Behavioral Health Hospital Greensboro, North Carolina. Duties
: Typically 15 to 18 outpatients per day per physician/advanced practice provider (APP) team. Each physician works with an advanced practice provider.
2.Provide patient discharges and admissions service:
Children unit has between 6 - 8 admissions and discharges per day. Admissions are triaged through the admissions office.
3.Oversees patient admissions:
Admissions are coordinated by on call physician, depending on acuity and is further managed by the attending physician/advanced practice provider team.
Patient documentation is completed in a timely manner in electronic medical record system (EPIC).
Children and Adolescent, patient age range: 5 to 19.
6.Typical areas of focus:
Mood and emotional disorders, detox, dual-diagnosis conditions such as depression and substance abuse, multi-substance use or other combinations.
Physician will provide call coverage as follows: 1 in 6 at Behavioral Health Hospital, Greensboro North Carolina. Average caseload at Behavioral Health Hospital is 20 patients.
8.Are there any additional procedures this physician would be required to do?
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Psychiatry.
• Fellowship trained; Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
• Active (provisional) privileges with Cone Health Medical Staff (Greensboro and Alamance Regional Medical Center).
• Maintain NC medical licensure.
• Unrestricted DEA.
• Experience in EPIC (electronic medical records) a plus.
• Other requirements as required by Cone Health employed physicians.
