The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) supports the Triple Aim goals of Cone Health by providing educational support to care givers. Working collaboratively with staff in all areas of the System, the CNE identifies educational needs and plans and implements programs using a variety of teaching/learning strategies. These educational offerings range from patient population-specific curricula to one-on-one teaching sessions with individual nursing staff members. In all endeavors, the CNE promotes evidence-based practice and the Magnet culture by serving as a change agent, teacher, mentor, and coach.EDUCATION:
Graduate of an RN Educational Program; Baccalaureate in Nursing required; Master's degree in Nursing, nursing education or nursing specialty required.EXPERIENCE:
Minimum three years RN clinical practice required.LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
RN | Registered Nurse licensed in North Carolina or a Compact state.
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
Certification is required in a clinical specialty as defined by National Certification requirements.
ACLS | Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
PALS | Pediatric Advanced Life Support
