JOB DETAILS:
Exempt: No | FTE: 1.0 (40 hours/week) | Schedule: TBD - 1st Shift | On Call: No

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for assisting the Pharmacy Purchasing Agent in all aspects of purchasing, delivering, charging, and inventory. Performs variety of duties related to ordering and stocking pharmaceuticals and supplies in accordance with organizational guidelines for cost and quality.

EDUCATION:
Required: High school diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE:

Hospital pharmacy technician experience of one year required and two years total of work experience is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
Required:
Pharmacy technician certification through PTCB or NHA prior to hire.

Pharmacy Technicians must register with the NC Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire as a Pharmacy Tech. Pharmacy students that are currently enrolled in a school of pharmacy are not required to register with the NC Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician.

Preferred:
Technician certification preferred.
