LOCATION: Cone Health, SW-Corp Compliance Audit
CITY: Greensboro, NC

JOB DETAILS:
Exempt: Yes | FTE: 1.0 (40 hours/week) | Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM | On Call: No

JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to Compliance & Integrity Program Manager, the Facility Senior Compliance Auditor provides audit, compliance support and guidance to providers, residents, and support staff in the facilities and facility based practices. Conducts assigned hospital compliance audits for risk areas identified throughout the facilities. Ensures that all coding, billing and documentation complies with federal and/or state regulations, private payer health care program requirements as well as the Compliance and Privacy policies of Cone Health. The Facility Senior Compliance Auditor is responsible for auditing and implementing educational and training programs to help achieve Cone Health's goal of a consistent, complete and accurate compliance program including coding and reimbursement.

EDUCATION:

Required: Associate's Degree
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare related field.

EXPERIENCE:

Required- Three (3) years recent experience in a healthcare facility. Completion of a formal course study in medical terminology, disease processes, anatomy and physiology. Intermediate knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office applications, which must include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred- 2+ years' hospital inpatient and/or outpatient coding experience. ICD-10 coding and/or auditing experience. Acute care compliance and/or regulatory auditing experience. Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
Required:
If not already certified, Certified Coding Associate (CCA), Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC), Certified Outpatient Coder (COC), or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) must be obtained within 12 months of hire date.
Preferred:

Preferred: RHIA (Registered Health Information Administrator), RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Coding Associate (CCA), Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC), Certified Outpatient Coder (COC), or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) upon hire.
