JOB SUMMARY: The Enterprise Analytics Application Developer - Senior is a developer focused on building advanced data visualizations and basic data marts on the Analytic Application Development team within the Cone Health Enterprise Analytics department. The Enterprise Analytics Developer - Senior is responsible for:
• Building and implementing data marts inside the Enterprise Data Warehouse.
• Designing, building, implementing, and supporting automated data visualizations (applications, dashboards, and reports).
• Build and/or customize web-based customer portals and custom data visualizations using web technologies.
• Work to create and comply with enterprise standards based on industry best practices and professional experience.
Successful performance of this role is demonstrated by the timely completion of all assigned project goals, which contribute to the overall provision of quality, efficient and effective analytic solutions. These solutions will support the data-driven decision making efforts required for delivering excellent, cost-controlled patient care across the continuum. In addition, this position promotes high standards in regards to effective departmental service and customer service.
What this role is not: Data analysis using Excel, writing database queries and manually exporting the data, creating simple reports, building non-automated solutions that require routine manual intervention.
EDUCATION: REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree
PREFERRED:
Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Analytics, Mathematics or other computer-related field.
EXPERIENCE: REQUIRED:
Six (6) years of experience building data visualizations using business intelligence, analytic, or enterprise level reporting tools.
Six (6) years of experience performing data extraction of large, complex data sets leveraging T-SQL.
Extensive data, reporting, or analytics experience in the healthcare delivery, health insurance, or medical utilization.
Extensive experience working with large, complex, relational or multi-dimensional data warehouses.
Experience building web solutions using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (jQuery).
Exposure to and/or experience with graphic design and user experience design.
In-depth experience developing technical product documentation needed to promote a solution into production use.
Experience providing production support for analytic solutions, including participation in an after-hours on-call rotation and occasional overtime is required.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING: REQUIRED:
Positions on the Epic Analytics Application Development team require Epic Clarity Data Model certification within six months of employee start date.
Valid driver's license - If driving Cone Health vehicle, must have 5 years of driving experience and MVR must be approved by Risk Management.
PREFERRED:
Microsoft SQL Server, Data, or BI Certification
TDWI Certified Business Intelligence Professional
Epic Reporting Workbench, Radar, Caboodle, or other Epic Data/Analytic Certifications
