This position is accountable to evaluate and treat all patients referred for Speech Language Pathology services, to assist in their return to optimal functional abilities, and to prevent additional disability. This includes communication with physicians and other health care personnel to assist in providing quality patient care.EDUCATION:
Masters, Speech Pathology, Required
- Candidates with qualifications deemed equivalent by the NC Board of Examiners for Speech Pathologists and Audiologists that result in registry eligibility will also be considered.EXPERIENCE:
-Women's Hospital NICU Employees Only: NICU experience and MBS experience with infants required
- New graduates will be considered, experience in applicable venue preferred.
- For inpatient hospital setting: MBS/FEES experience preferred.LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
BLS (CPR) | AHA Health Care Provider BLS
Required: Certified in SLP by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association. Certification must be renewed/maintained.
Required: Licensed by the North Carolina Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists. Licensure must be renewed/maintained or temporary licensure with NC Board of Examiners for Speech Pathologists and Audiologists will be considered for Clinical Fellowship year.
If driving Cone Health vehicle, 5 years of driving experience, MVR must be approved by Risk Management.
Additional certifications may be preferred depending on clinical requirements.
