LOCATION: AlamanceRegional Medical Center, ARMC-CATH LAB

CITY: Burlington

JOB DETAILS:
Exempt: No | FTE: 0.95 (38 hours/week) | Schedule: 4 (10 hr) days | On Call:YES

JOB SUMMARY:
Personnel in this position areresponsible for providing direct patient care in the Cardiac Cath lab,Peripheral Vascular Lab, Cath Lab Holding Room, and the Electrophysiology Lab.Personnel in this position are responsible for performing and functioning as amember of a multidisciplinary team. In addition, personnel are expected tofunction and provide high quality, safe, culturally competent cost effectivepatient care in all areas of operations by means of assessment, planning,evaluation, and intervention/follow up.
EDUCATION:
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
Graduate from one or more of thefollowing programs required:
Radiology Technology,Respiratory Therapy, Cardiovascular Technology Program, or appropriatelyrecognized Paramedic program.
EXPERIENCE:
Required:
1 - 2 years of RespiratoryTherapy experience, or 1 - 2 years of Radiology Technical experience, or 2years Paramedic experience
Preferred:
Cardiac specialty experience
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
Required:
BLS (CPR) | AHA Health CareProvider BLS
Required:
Radiology Technologist - ARRTRadiology Technologist registry,
OR
Respiratory Therapist - licensedby the North Carolina Respiratory Care Board (NCRCB) as an RRT,
AND
credentialed by the NationalBoard of Respiratory Care (NBRC) as an RRT. Cardiovascular Technology Program -Graduate from an accredited Cardiovascular Program,
OR
Paramedic - North Carolina EMT-Pcredentialing/accreditation and/or Paramedic Associate Degree from aappropriately recognized Paramedic program.

Graduates from a CardiovascularProgram are required to complete RCIS certification within 3 months ofemployment.

If the Cardiovascular Specialist(Cath Lab Tech) is not a graduate of a Cardiovascular Program, he/she mustobtain their Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) within 24months of hire for continued employment.
Cardiac Cath Lab Technologistswho work in the Electrophysiology Lab area must obtain their RegisteredCardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) within 24 months of hire forcontinued employment.
Cardiac Cath Lab Technologistswho work in the Peripheral Vascular Lab area are exempt from obtaining RCIS orRCES.

Must obtain AdvancedCardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire.
