Job Description
LOCATION: Moses Cone Hospital, MHC-MC-Phlebotomy Services
CITY: Greensboro
JOB DETAILS:
Exempt: No | FTE: 0.9 (36 hours/week) | Schedule: Flex 5AM - 5:30 PM with variations and holiday rotation | On Call: NO
JOB SUMMARY:
Certified Phlebotomist collect blood samples in order to provide assistance in physician diagnosis to provide quality patient care.
EDUCATION:
Required - High School diploma or equivalent.
Preferred - Graduate from an accredited phlebotomy program.
EXPERIENCE:
Preferred - A minimum of 6 months to 1 year, full time experience in a hospital setting.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
Required:
BLS (CPR) | AHA Health Care Provider BLS
Current Phlebotomy certification from one of the following approved agencies:
ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology)
OR
ASPT (American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians)
OR
NHA (National Healthcareer Association)
Also, certification as a Clinical Laboratory Assistant or Medical Laboratory Assistant by ASCP is acceptable.
