Provides for and delivers health and safety services to employees, employee populations, and community groups. The practice of Occupational Health focuses on promotion and restoration of health, prevention of illness and injury, and protection from occupational and environmental hazards. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for employees within the parameters of the NC Nurse Practice Act and Cone Health.EDUCATION:
Required - Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. If BSN degree is in process, that is acceptable, but must be completed within 4 years.
Preferred - BSNEXPERIENCE:
Required - Three or more years of nursing experience required.
Preferred -Occupational health Nursing is preferred, but if not, then Emergency Care or Critical Care experience is desired. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
Drivers License | Valid Drivers License
BLS (CPR) | AHA Health Care Provider BLS
Required - A current non-restrictive NC Registered Nurses' license
Preferred - COHN or COHN-S certification; Council for accreditation in occupational hearing Conservation (CAOHC) certified; NIOSH Respiratory Surveillance certification; DOT and non-DT urine collection certification; Beath Alcohol Techniciain certification
