Maintains Employee Files in accordance to applicable state and federal laws and regulations (New Hires, Transfers, Terminations and Retirements)
Audits I-9s, E-Verify queries, Tracker I-9 and work authorizations to ensure compliance with policy, laws and regulations. Partners with HR Compliance Specialist to resolve identified issues.
Conducts monthly employee file audits to ensure compliance with state and federal laws and internal policies.
Acts as a liaison between third party vendor for employment verification and responding to requests from the Employment Security Commission.
Ensures timely submission of online unemployment claims via the Division of Employment Security website.
Provides administrative support for regulatory audits and investigations.
Serves as a resource for questions/request regarding employee files to include subpoenas.
Updates employee information in HRIS (address change, name change, etc.)
Provides administrative oversight for retrieval and shipment of employee files for Scans America and Iron Mountain to include scheduling pick-up and drop -off times.
Performs other duties as assigned by the HR Compliance ManagerEDUCATION:
Associates Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related fieldEXPERIENCE:
6 months of experience in an administrative assistant or HR assistant capacityLICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:
Associate Professional in Human Resources
