JOB SUMMARY :
The Accountant position is to support the Health System's general month end close cycle, Trial
Balance and related reconciliation process, internal/external financial reporting, tax and audit within
the corporate function for any related company or entity.
High School Diploma or equivalent - Accounting - HR diploma or equivalent required plus coursework described below
Bachelors - Accounting - Preferred in accounting or other related finance or business field.
Required: High school degree, plus minimum of 15 credit hours core accounting courses (5) including
Accounting I and II, Intermediate Accounting I & II plus 1 course in audit, tax, cost or other advanced
course from an approved university.
Preferred: Four-year degree in accounting or other related finance or business field.
0 Years - Finance/Accounting - No experience required for New Grad accounting majors with CPA certification pending (exam passed)
4 Years - Finance/Accounting - Full time work experience in accounting required for non-accounting major related degree
7 Years - Finance/Accounting - Recent full time experience in accounting role plus course work in core accounting courses required
-Recent accounting major graduates with CPA certification pending no experience required; or
-Four years of recent full time work experience in accounting minimum required for non- accounting major
related degree; or
-High school degree requires minimum course work in core accounting courses specified and minimum
seven years recent full time experience in an accounting role.
-Healthcare accounting or healthcare audit experience
-Public accounting CPA firm work experience in audit or tax
-Experience with Hyperion, ESS base
